What to Do with Damaged Wooden Pallets

A damaged pallet should be kept out of use until its condition and intended application have been assessed. Broken boards, loose blocks or protruding nails can affect handling and load support. Do not assume a quick board replacement restores the original design or preserves its export treatment status.

Use a controlled decision

Arrange appropriate repair assessment or a suitable recovery route. Keep repaired units identifiable until structural and treatment questions are resolved. If the pallet will carry a different load, check that specification independently rather than treating repair as approval for every future use.
