Heat Treated Pallets for Canada Shipments

For a shipment from Great Britain to Canada, use the CFIA wood-packaging requirements as the reference for regulated timber packaging. Do not apply the continental United States exception to a British-origin package. Include dunnage and cases in the check as well as pallets supporting the main cargo.

Check the complete British-origin package

Confirm treatment and legible marking with the supplier, then inspect condition before loading. Where marine transport uses additional dunnage, ask the forwarder about the relevant controls. The timber-packaging requirement is separate from the receiver's preferred pallet size and the goods' own import rules.
