Checking Timber Dunnage for Export

Loose timber used to brace, support or separate cargo can fall within wood-packaging requirements. It is easy to overlook when a marked pallet has already been ordered. List the dunnage in the packing plan and identify its supplier so the final check includes the pieces added while loading.

Inspect before closing the package

The packing team should understand how treatment and marking apply to the intended pieces and use. Avoid improvised untreated additions after the package has been checked. Restraint strength and plant-health treatment are separate issues, so obtain an appropriate loading plan alongside compliant timber supply.
